Start With Your Golf Performance Assessment
Before making a major change to your swing, we first need to understand your game. The Golf Performance Assessment evaluates the golfer as a whole and identifies the biggest opportunities for improvement.
Start Your AssessmentYour Assessment Gives You:
- A clear picture of your current game
- Your biggest performance opportunities
- Development priorities
- A structured practice direction
- A recommended coaching path

The Trey Thornock Golf Development System
A great lesson should not be an isolated experience. Every lesson should build on what came before it and create a clear next step.
Assess
Understand the golfer, the ball flight, the performance data, and the player’s goals.
Identify
Determine the biggest opportunities instead of changing everything at once.
Develop
Build the movement, technical skill, and understanding needed to improve.
Practice
Turn coaching into purposeful practice with clear objectives.
Transfer
Take the skills from the practice environment onto the golf course.
Perform
Use the new skills under real playing conditions to shoot better scores and play better golf.
The goal isn’t to build a prettier swing. The goal is to build a better golfer.

- Driver fitting
- Iron fitting
- Wedge setup
- Shaft evaluation

What Golfers Are Saying
Real feedback from the golfers Trey has coached.
Trey was professional and patient with me and was able to diagnose why I was having swing problems. He was able to teach me how to correct my swing flaws.
I recently finished my third lesson with Trey. I feel like I am swinging it as well as I can remember in the last 20 years. My initial impression, prior to meeting in person, was that he looked young — therefore not as much experience in the coaching box as I would have liked. Very glad I didn’t feed that logic and chose to meet with him for a first lesson. I will not be looking for another golf coach as long as Trey stays in the greater Phoenix area. Thanks Trey, you da man!!
Worked with Trey to help turn over my golf game after picking it up again after two years away. Went from barely making contact to shooting 95 on a PGA course inside of two months. Can’t say enough good things about the experience and the coaching.
Trey is the best golf instructor I’ve ever had. Six lessons for $300 was a steal compared to GolfTec or a single $300 lesson at Duke University Golf Club — and unlike local club pros, he’s consistent, professional, and flexible. He’s Trackman certified, which sets him apart from most instructors in the area. Trey is patient, a clear communicator, and breaks down technical data like “low point control” in a way that’s easy to understand. He also publishes a newsletter with real swing and course-management tips. My only regret is not finding him back in high school.
This year I wanted to take golf more seriously and signed up for 3 sessions with Trey. I had trouble with low point and literally from the first swing I made solid contact unlike I had before. It was effortless and the next at home lesson I probably hit 90% of my shots flush with little low point issues. Each lesson has built on the last and now I’ve started getting a repeatable swing. Today I hit my first hole in one too!
My husband has really enjoyed the golf lessons so far! Looking forward to more and watching the game improve! Definitely recommend Trey!!
